Need To Get Unstuck In Life? Try EFT

A few years ago, I got an email announcing the release of a DVD and a book. They were about a subject I had never heard of before – EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques. But I was immediately caught when it said that it was about healing and that the title of both the DVD and book was Try It on Everything.

I knew that in my ow life I had several places that needed healing and emotional freedom. Stress often sapped my energy leaving me listless. I often found myself in a funk and seemingly unable to get motivated to either begin a new project or to continue and complete a current one. Often worry over how something would turn out robbed me of the happiness I desired and just sucked all the joy out of my life.

While I am not completely free of these issues in my life, I have found EFT to be a very useful tool in my journey of self-healing and wholeness.

What Is EFT?

EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques is a combination of psychology and Chinese acupuncture principles. It uses tapping with the finger tips on certain acupuncture points on the face, chest, under the arms and the top of the head. The tapping is accompanied by the use of phrases both positive and negative that relate to the particular situation or condition.

What is EFT Effective For?

One situation in which EFT is very effective is when you feel stuck and bogged down. The use of tapping helps to clear out negative energy and eliminate the fears and other psychological blocks that prevent you from moving forward. EFT helped me greatly when I was trying to get motivated to start this blog and it helps me when I feel blocked and don’t know what to write.

I found a wonderful blog about tapping written by Sonal Pandey called Tap-Easy.Com. There is a post on the site about tapping though the things that stop you from moving forward in your life. Use the search box at the top of the page and search for “what stops you?”

If you are feeling stuck right now and don’t know how to begin again or how to continue moving forward in the direction you want your life to go, then check out this site. It has complete instructions on how to begin using the techniques.

And if you are familiar with EFT, feel free to share your experiences or favorite book or website along with your comments.

If you have never heard of EFT and would like to learn more, then share any questions you might have as well as your comments.

So until next time, keep tapping and try it on everything!

I have a dvd by Garland Landrith called “Tap into Bliss” which instructs a person in how to tap and then uses it in several areas of life. I was amazed at the results I got when tapping for meditation! it was one of the few things that has ever stilled my mind.

  • It does seem like combining self talk and the body’s energy points simultaneously might jar loose emotional blockages. So I went to http://www.tap-easy.com and am exploring ETF further. Thanks to David for sharing this.

Yes, I agree, the combination often seems to help loosen old energy blockages and other limiting beliefs.

  • Tap-Easy is a great resource. Have you ever attended the Tapping World Summit? It’s a free online event, and this year is the 12th time they’re doing it. It’s my favorite event to learn about the latest Tapping info.
